Materials: Hard & Soft Exhibition

Leaf Stack #25, 35-1/2″ x 32″

The annual exhibition, Materials: Hard & Soft, is held at the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center in Denton, Texas. This year marks its 33rd year. I was honored that my artwork, Leaf Stack #25, was accepted into this international, contemporary craft exhibition. 72 artworks were selected from over 1,000 entries from artists in 16 different countries and 42 states.

Beth MacLaughlin, Chief Curator of Collections and Exhibitions at the Fuller Craft Museum in Massachusetts was the juror this year. Various media in the exhibition include fiber, metal, wood, plastic, ceramic and mixed media.

The exhibitions dates are Feb. 7 – May 9, 2020. I am guessing the arts center is currently closed, due to the Covid-19 virus. Hopefully, they will be able to re-open before the end of the exhibition. An online viewing option is available, though, on their website. You can look through the catalog or watch a video of a walk-through of the exhibition.
