2025 Yearly Art Review
At the end of each year, I like to do a yearly art review. I look back at the goals I set at the beginning of the year and see if I achieved them. I also try to look at my accomplishments. This is my 2025 yearly art review. I did not accomplish as much as I had hoped to this year. Fierce Planets
Fierce Planets is a Studio Art Quilt Associates traveling exhibition and a collaboration with John Hopkins University’s Wavelengths program. The participating artists drew inspiration from professor Dr. Sabine Stanley’s work in planetary science and her book What’s Hidden Inside Planets. Then, they created their artworks.

Garden Blues
Garden Blues is the last artwork I completed in 2024. It is very different from my other artworks and the process for making it was also different than what I usually do. I used raw-edge and hand-appliqué with some piecing.

Solo Exhibition at Visions
After years of creating artwork in my Field Studies series, and several years coordinating with the museum, my solo exhibition at Visions Museum of Textile Art in San Diego, California is finally on display. Field Studies: Interpreting the West includes fourteen artworks and is up through Dec. 30, 2023.

Art Evolved: Intertwined
As you can see above in the introductory wall text, the Art Evolved: Intertwined exhibition is a collaboration between Studio Art Quilt Associates and the National Basketry Association. Members in both groups work with fiber media. The exhibition debuted at the Yellowstone Art Museum in Billings, Montana and will be on display there through Oct. 31, 2023.READ MORE

During the month of March, I am a featured artist at Capitol Contemporary Gallery in downtown Boise, Idaho. A selection of artworks from my Field Studies series is on display. This series features textile pieces inspired by particular locations in the West.

Capitol Contemporary Gallery
As of January 1, 2023 I am a new artist at the Capitol Contemporary Gallery in downtown Boise, ID. I am excited to be a part of this premiere gallery in our capitol city. Several of my artists friends are also part of the gallery.

Boise Open Studios and Ballet Idaho
This autumn Boise Open Studios and Ballet Idaho collaborated to create a unique art experience. Artist members of the Boise Open Studio Collective Organization (BOSCO) viewed one of Ballet Idaho’s rehearsals to gain inspiration. Then, they created artworks based on what they had seen.
At an opening reception on October 11, the art was unveiled at The Mode Lounge in downtown Boise. Ballet Idaho trainees performed in the street for the opening. The Mode created a special cocktail for the event.
