Arbitrary Color

As the sun set and darkness descended, the misty fog shrouded the street lamps and created an air of mystery. We entered the building, I, with a bit of nervous anticipation. Once inside, the huge space enveloped us. I was given my name tag, with the title “Artist” on it. This title makes me happy.

Celebrating #20

The leaves have mostly fallen to the ground here and they are also stacking up in the studio. I have completed piece #20 in my Leaf Stack series. This is my longest running series for my larger works. I am excited to have reached this milestone and will continue to keep working in the series as I still have more ideas.

Deadline Hit and Miss

The clock is ticking. The stress is building. Piles are mounting up in my studio as I work trying to meet a deadline. Questions are running through my head:

“What was I thinking? Why did you wait so long to start? Will it get done? Why did I go so big? What’s the point?”

There it was, sitting in my inbox. The email I had been expecting. I hesitated. A slight sense of dread was present. Part of me wanted to just leave it there, unopened. It lasted less than a minute before the other part of me said, “Just open it.”
