Next weekend is the Boise Open Studio Collective Organization’s annual event. 49 artists, in and around Boise, will open their studio doors to the public.
As you can see the dates are Oct. 9 – 11. The group decided to add Friday this year. The general times are:
Friday: 4 – 7 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Check the map for days/times each artist will be open because it varies. For example, my studio will only be open on Sunday (10 a.m. – 6 p.m.) this year. I am #12 on the map.
Pick up the passport pictured above, visit eight different studios, get a stamp from each and turn in your filled card for a chance to win artwork donated by BOSCO members.
In conjunction with the open studio weekend, BOSCO currently has an exhibition up at the Art Source Gallery. The closing reception for the exhibition, as well as the passport drawing, will be Oct. 23rd at the gallery. You can turn in your passport to any artist, or bring it with you to the event.
I installed the artwork at the gallery (it was a tight fit) and here is a preview.
This is a great opportunity to see where artists work and talk to them about their art.

I’m going to miss it this year since I will be in Phoenix for a grand daughters wedding. Hope it goes great, lots of visitors and sales!
